Teaching baby a foreign language
So how do you go about teaching a baby or toddler a foreign language? First of all, it's important to make the process fun. If the child begins to develop negative associations with your attempts, you'll lose their interest. That’s why and organized learning system that mimics play is a good idea. It's also important to expose the child to language in context. In other words, if a child is just shown flash cards, the impression won't be as memorable as if it was learned through some sort of dialog, so children can learn in a fun and contextual atmosphere. That’s how using language through playing a game can be very effective and fun. The dialog is simple, straight forward, and often intentionally repetitive. Songs are also an excellent way to teach a foreign language because they rhyme, are easy to remember, and fun to listen to. When words are sung or recited over and over, it reinforces what was learned and also brings movement and rhythm into the equation of stimulating the brain for better learning.
